Final fantasy xiii pc version missing cutscenes download
If you want to play with English or Japanese audio, the option to do so is in the Sound settings tab. This option is not available if you got the ASIA region version of the game. Here are some settings that could help in getting the game look good as well run better if you have a low end hardware.
Anti aliasing The Anti aliasing setting is the least demanding setting in this game. You can crank it up to higher values if running on your native screen resolution, to reduce the jagged lines seen on the edges of 3d models and objects.
Note: if you follow the DSR method in Dave's guide, then set this to x2 as you will end up hurting performance, if set to x Shadow resolution Shadow resolution is the setting that you might need to do a bit of tweaking to get it looking right.
At lower settings, the shadows will look softer but jagged at the edges with the shadow volume having noticeable artifacts. The x shadow resolution setting produces shadows that are not jagged at the edges with the volume not having the artifacts as well.
I would suggest setting the shadow resolution to x A few which can be annoying for new players and disappointing for returning players from the console version. Common issues - Inconsistent 60fps which generally makes it not smooth - Lacks Vibration support that is present in the console versions, but disabled in the PC version - Playing at a resolution which is higher than p based resolutions, can cause a few issues with scaling of some graphical elements in the game.
FMV cutscenes are a bit poorly encoded for the PC version. This section of the guide covers the Enhancements that can be applied to the game to make it look better. Anisotropic filtering. Steam cloud is an automated cloud based save upload system used by games on Steam. But it doesn't work smoothly for some games and this game especially has some issues with it.
Which is why you had to disable steam cloud for resolving the crashes, and some of you may be wondering now how do I back up my save files, if I want to play the game in future on a different PC or if you formatted your PC and reinstalled Windows? Copy the save files which you copied in the remote folder into this save folder. That's it. You have to manually back up the save files here in this method as well.
There are some really cool mods available for this game and in this section, I will be listing those mods with a brief write up on what it does to the game, and with a link to the page from where you can get it.
Remember that if you want to uninstall any of the mods mentioned in this section of the guide, you have to use the Verify integrity of games files option which will then re download the original unmodified files of the game.
This will remove the 4gb crash patch that you have applied on the ffxiii2img. So be careful with what all mods you want to install on your game.
Its advisable to install the mods in the same order that its written here. Important : I know this section is put in a weird order and its usually expected for a game breaking thing like a crash fix to be put first. It turns out that the crash fix patches if applied to the exe first, then the mods from the above section and even the Console Content Patch and the Leviathan's Tears patch may not install correctly.
That's why this crash fix section is written after those mods and those patches. Once again, I do hope you got to this section after reading the previous sections in the order they were written here in this guide. Fixing the constant crashes. This section of the guide covers the Enhancements that can be applied to the game to make it look better with the help of the graphic settings available from your graphic driver.
Anisotropic filtering. Thanks to rebtd7 for the FF13 Fix. Krisan Thyme for the majority of the mods. MJB for their texture and model enhancement mod. I got the 4GB patch to work successfully!!! Don't ask me how I missed that earlier. Maybe I need glasses? Regardless, attempting to execute the initial fixes did properly introduce me to my new PC.
It took me a while, lol. Anyhow, I just finished the opening battle of the game in full screen mode with no crashes what so ever. Thank you again for your help! Thank you so much for your help! They should ditch Bink and use something that will get them better quality at smaller file sizes. Bink was designed for older PCs. Modern PCs that can run FF13 can also run higher quality well compressed video even while loading levels and such in the background.
The CG is impressive despite the video quality, not because of it. Square-Enix already put a ton of painstaking effort into every little detail in those prerendered cut scenes and to have so much of that go to waste just because of a bad choice in codec would be a real shame. Although there are obviously more important issues regarding performance and resolution I do hope SE fixes this issue as well.
It would leave me as a much more satisfied customer. Originally posted by Brendude13 :. Tsagualsa View Profile View Posts. What irks me is the audio compression. Everyone who can't see a difference, are you on a small monitor? I am on a TV and the difference is huge. The PC looks like a low res jpg compared to the PS3.
The PC is terrible.
